About the Journal

Jurnal Pendidikan dan Studi Islam (PISI) is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to the publication of original research, conceptual studies, and scholarly perspectives in the fields of education and Islamic studies. The journal provides an academic forum for researchers, lecturers, educators, practitioners, and students to disseminate rigorous and relevant scholarly work that contributes to the advancement of knowledge and practice in education and Islamic scholarship.

PISI welcomes research that examines contemporary educational and Islamic issues from theoretical, empirical, interdisciplinary, and contextual perspectives. Its scope includes Islamic education, teaching and learning, pedagogy, curriculum development, educational management, educational innovation, educational technology, educational assessment, character education, Qur’anic and Hadith studies, classical and contemporary Islamic thought, religious moderation, multicultural education, and socio-religious studies based on Islamic values. The journal also encourages interdisciplinary studies that connect education and Islamic studies with social, cultural, technological, and global developments.

The journal prioritizes manuscripts that demonstrate originality, novelty, methodological rigor, critical analysis, and significant contributions to the development of theory and practice. All submitted manuscripts are evaluated through a rigorous double-blind peer-review process, ensuring that the identities of authors and reviewers remain confidential and that manuscripts are assessed objectively according to established academic standards.

PISI primarily publishes articles in English and also accepts manuscripts written in Indonesian. The journal is published twice a year, in March and September, by Nexus Edu Global.
