Jurnal Pendidikan dan Studi Islam (PISI) is a peer-reviewed academic journal that focuses on the advancement of knowledge in the fields of education and Islamic studies. The journal provides a scholarly platform for researchers, academics, lecturers, educators, practitioners, and students to disseminate original research, conceptual studies, theoretical perspectives, and interdisciplinary scholarship.
PISI welcomes studies that critically examine educational practices, Islamic thought, religious life, social transformation, and contemporary challenges from empirical, theoretical, historical, philosophical, and interdisciplinary perspectives. The journal encourages manuscripts that demonstrate originality, novelty, methodological rigor, critical analysis, theoretical contribution, and practical relevance.

PISI also welcomes interdisciplinary and emerging research that connects education and Islamic studies with other relevant fields, including sociology, psychology, anthropology, philosophy, history, economics, communication, technology, environmental studies, public policy, and the humanities and social sciences.
The journal particularly welcomes research addressing emerging issues such as artificial intelligence, digital transformation, educational inequality, religious moderation, multiculturalism, sustainability, climate change, globalization, youth and digital culture, contemporary Islamic thought, educational resilience, and the transformation of Islamic education in the twenty-first century.
PISI accepts manuscripts using a wide range of rigorous research approaches, including qualitative, quantitative, mixed-methods, case study, ethnographic, historical, comparative, action research, research and development, systematic review, and theoretical or conceptual approaches.
Priority is given to manuscripts that present a clear research problem, strong theoretical foundation, appropriate methodology, substantial analysis, originality, and meaningful contribution to the advancement of education and Islamic studies.
The journal welcomes scholarly contributions from Indonesia and other countries, particularly studies that provide contextual, comparative, theoretical, methodological, or practical contributions to the international academic discourse on education and Islamic studies.
